SKY
This handsome old Thoroughbred gelding is named Sky. He came to CHR a victim of neglect and starvation. When he arrived at the farm, he weighed only 820 pounds and after months of special feeding and rehabilitation, he now weighs 1100 pounds! He has been through a lot but he is now able to enjoy his time in the geriatric pasture where he is close friends with a pretty mare named Feather. We hope to find Sky the perfect home someday but until then, your generous sponsorship will go a long way towards providing Sky with the daily care that he deserves. Sky's birth date is August 8th, 1988. |

FEISTY
Meet Feisty—a 27-yr-old dunn colored Quarter Horse gelding. He's one of the mellow guys in our pasture who just loves hanging out and getting attention. This is his second stay at the rescue because his former family became financially unable to take care of him. He broke his back as a youngster so he is not rideable but would make a good pasture buddy to another horse friend or two. He may walk a little crooked but that doesn't prevent him from getting where he wants to go. We would love to find Feisty a permanent home but until then, your generous sponsorship will go a long way towards keeping him healthy and happy while he's here. Feisty's birth date is September 7th, 1982. |
