Unstarted horses have not been trained to accept a saddle, bridle or rider. Newly started horses have been trained to accept a saddle, bridle and/or rider but need additional time with a trainer to become confident, reliable riding horses. (Young horses at CHR are not started under saddle until they are 3 years old). Horses on this page are eligible for the "Give Horses a Chance" (GHAC) Competition hosted by the International Performance Horse Development Association (IPHDA).
