Dear Colorado Horse Rescue Friends:

Colorado Horse Rescue will hold its Annual “Mane Event-Denim and Diamonds” Fundraiser on Saturday, August 22, 2009 at the Omni Interlocken Resort in Broomfield beginning at 5:30 pm.  Tickets for the event are $95 and include a formal dinner, silent auction, dancing, and lively auction headed by Gary Corbett.  We are proud to announce well-known Denver TV newscaster Ernie Bjorkman will serve as the Master of Ceremonies. 

This year’s Honoree is Charles D. Vail, DVM of the Littleton Equine Medical Center.  Charlie, as he prefers to be called, is respected worldwide for a lifetime of professional and personal dedication to the horse community.  This is an opportunity to pay tribute to one of the giants in our community.

We invite you to support Colorado Horse Rescue which provides emergency relief, shelter, care, rehabilitation and adoption services for abused, neglected, abandoned, and unwanted horses. CHR’s community resources include equine education, counseling, information and referral services.  We are seeking corporate sponsorships, cash donations, silent and live auction items and ticket sales.  Please see the attached sponsorship forms for more information.  Colorado Horse Rescue is a non-profit 501 (c) (3) organization. Any donation you make is tax-deductible.

Come out and enjoy great company, scrumptious food and lively entertainment, but most of all help support Colorado Horse Rescue, one of the highest regarded rescues in the country for over 23 years.  Our goal is to raise over $100,000 to support the horses in our care.  We hope you can provide support to these wonderful animals.  CHR is funded exclusively through individual donations, grants, bequests and corporate sponsorships.  Your support is critical to our continued success.

Other Sponsorship Opportunities

Silent and Live Auction Items                                               
During the Mane Event, CHR will host a silent and live auction for various items.  Items will be prominently displayed and recognize the individual or organization contributing the auction item.  We would like to request the donation of goods, gift certificates, and or other services. Proceeds from the auction will support Colorado Horse Rescue.

Cash Donations                                                                       
If you or your company is unable to attend the 2009 Mane Event but wish to contribute towards Colorado Horse Rescue, you may make a cash donation to support CHR.

Ticket Sales                                                                                   
Individual tickets can be purchased for $95 at www.chr.org or by mailing a check made payable to Colorado Horse Rescue. Please indicate how many tickets you would like to purchase and mail to:

Your help will:

• Allow us to provide the highest quality care for the horses. The average cost per horse per year is $2400 – this does NOT include any veterinary emergencies.
• Allow us to maintain our facility to the highest standards.
• Provide support for growth and expansion.
• Give us the opportunity to continue to help horses in need, provide funding for educational clinics and seminars, and increase public awareness through community outreach.
