Learn to Long Line Clinic

July 20, 2024

Colorado Horse Rescue
10386 N 65th Street
Longmont, CO 80503

Elevate your horsemanship skills by exploring the art of long lining. Take your horse to new heights in training, recovery from injury, re-establishing your relationship after a loss of confidence, and/or building top-line and muscle strength. Refine your hands when communicating with your horse in this clinic designed for horse owners, equine assisted therapy staff, trainers and anyone seeking to hone or develop these skills.

Long lining is a groundwork technique that involves skillfully working the horse from the ground with two lines, or reins, attached to each side. In contrast to lunging, where the horse moves in circles around the handler, long-lining provides increased flexibility and precision, enabling the handler to guide the horse’s movements effectively in various directions. No matter what discipline, long lining proves to be an asset for every horse. Join us for this informative and fun clinic!
